This approach is the product of
some educators and linguists who disagree with grammar translation method and
audio lingual. The emphasis of this
approach is to communicate through the interaction in the target language and
taking into consideration the learning process. Learners interact with each
other instead of teacher-centered classes. There is still a debate is grammar
needs to be included in this approach. The Comprehension precedes production. It
combines authentic use of the four skills. The most important thing at this
approach if for students to acquire the ability to face and break obstacles to
effective communication.
When learners are involved in real communication, they will use their own strategies to acquire language and using this real meaning conversation will make them to learn the new language. In this approach the interaction is crucial and there is a need of collaborative creation of meaning. This method teaches about when and how to use the forms of language using different strategies

- Give the students one proverb in Spanish, if you have a big group, make pairs.
- Tell the students that they have to explain the meaning of the proverbs to a native person.
- Give your students a piece of paper with a proverb in English written on it.Ask them to try to explain the meaning. When they finish, read the meanings random and they have to guess which proverb fits on each one.
- Make a circle with the whole group and read again the proverbs in English and Spanish and they have to discuss situation where these things could happen.
